Since there are so many tools and SaaSs (Software as a System)s out there, it has taken us a lot of research to discover what works best for us- especially since we’re located in the Middle East. We have resources for social media management, graphic design, marketing automation, blogging, email collection and more. Since Saudi Arabia is such a growing market for online activities, it’s essential that we stay on top of the trends.

1. Buffer

Buffer is a great tool for scheduling and designing posts. It will also automatically post for you at the best time of day for good engagement. There is even a free version if you only need to manage one social media account.

 

2. Hootsuite

We use Hootsuite for everything from scheduling to engaging, monitoring, and reporting. With the multi-channel view, it’s easy to keep an eye on all your social media channels. Click here to get a free 30 day trial of the Pro version.

3. Canva

This image creator is web-based and lets you upload your own photos or use stock photos to create your content. You can edit photos and create posts, wireframes, design grids and more. Canva is free, but you must purchase certain stock photos to use them. It’s so easy to learn, you’ll have your first piece of content in no time.

4. Piktochart

Piktochart is similar to Canva, but has a lot more icons. It works great for infographics, posts, posters and presentations. It’s hard to go wrong with all their great fonts.

5. TheNounProject

TheNounProject offers over 500k icons that you can use for free with attribution. Royalty-free icons cost $1.99 each. But the best deal is the unlimited access plan for $9.99 a month. There is an app for easy drag-and-drop in Mac. The web version allows you to select a color for your icon. Use this link to get one month free.

 

6. Unsplash

Unsplash offers free high-resolution photos to use any way you like. They make great presentation and post backgrounds. The photos are more nature and beauty-centered.

7. Shutterstock

Shutterstock has a huge collection of stock images. These photos and vectors are more suited for business presentations, and you’ll be sure to find an image for any search.

8. Hubspot

Marketing automation is the secret to lead nurturing online. Create workflows, email templates, and sync your social media. Hubspot tends to be the most user-friendly platform. They also offer a massive collection of free resources to help your digital marketing.

9. Infusionsoft

Infusionsoft is a more in-depth marketing automation platform. There is a marketplace where you can get add-ons to perform just about any task, or integrate other software. If you want to use Infusionsoft, you should have a lot of time to dedicate to learning or hire an agency who already knows how to implement it.

10. MailChimp

If you don’t want to go full-force with marketing automation, but do want the capabilities to send emails to your list, MailChimp is the way to go. 11. Sumo

How are you collecting emails for your list? Sumo has tools to encourage your website viewers to become subscribers without being impolite.

12. WordPress

WordPress is the gold standard for Content Management Systems. It makes it simple to create,edit, and publish content on your website.

13. Grammarly

If you want your content to be perfectly edited for grammar, Grammarly is the tool to use. We’ve found it especially useful for English content written by our employees who don’t have English as their native language.

14. CakeHR

We’ve automated our HR management to CakeHR. Systematize onboarding and offboarding, and make leave requests easy for employees and management. Customer service assisted with importing all our information too. We researched many HR platforms, and found CakeHR to be the best since we’re not located in the US or Europe.

15. Evernote

 

Many of our employees use Evernote to organize their lives. You can save links, keep images, and create to-do lists among many other things.
