Today I want to show you a great example of how to use a Twitter contest to garner social media attention.
We worked with Mobil 1 during the Alhilal Football League Championship game. To join the excitement around the event, we offered the chance at free VIP tickets to social media fans who followed Mobil1, retweeted the contest, and used the hashtag #من_المنصة
In less than 15 minutes the hashtag was trending, and continued for 7 hours, gaining visibility for the Mobil1 brand. The post also got 37k tweets and 4000 retweets.
In the end, 20 lucky fans got to join the festivities of their team winning a trophy and Mobil1’s awareness skyrocketed. That’s how you run a contest!
