Duties
- Developing creative ideas and concepts, often in partnership with the creative department;
- Presenting ideas to colleagues and clients;
- Tailoring the content and style of individual writing assignments according to their purpose – whether they are intended to sell or inform;
- Familiarizing themselves with their clients’ products and services, the target audience and their competitors’ activities;
- Writing clear, persuasive, original copy;
- Updating digital media;
- Writing for web pages and blogs, and potentially also for social media, e-books, slogans, and video script;
- Proofreading copy to check spelling and grammar;
- Amending, revising or redeveloping adverts or campaigns in response to feedback from the creative director, account team or clients;
- Overseeing campaigns through the production stage to completion;
- Working on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines;
- Keeping up to date with popular culture and trends.
Qualifications
Education- degree in related field, preferably marketing or advertising
Skills and Abilities
- 2 years work experience in copywriting
- Highly creative and imaginative
- Fluent in Arabic/English
- Have an interest in commerce, popular culture and new advertising trends and techniques
- Strong knowledge of digital marketing and design for digital including ads, apps, websites and ongoing campaigns
- Experience in business branding
- Ability to work as part of a multi-departmental team to brainstorm, strategize, and produce results for clients
- Communication skills in order to listen to client ideas and effectively work with other members of Chess Tag
- Flexibility- able to organize and capable of handling many projects at once

Working Conditions
- Will usually work from the office
- Will work a standard work week, except in the cases of a tight deadline when overtime may be required
